A cool desert breeze.
The smell of a fire.
Teenage girls singing at midnight.
Trail mix for breakfast.
All this before 8 AM today.
Bryan stayed home with Kayla to get her off in the morning for a service project while I took the three younger munchkins out to Usery Mountain Recreation Park for a campout with some of Jessica's teammates at Special Olympics. We had fun! We enjoyed a potluck, crafts, games, and a short hike.
Maybe it's just me, but I found the game of butt dart to be a bit inappropriate. We did not participate. Jessica thought it was hilarious, though. I had never heard of it before. Shall I explain? It involves a quarter, your butt cheeks and a cup. Your supposed to drop the quarter in the cup using your ... well, you get the idea.
Okay, moving on. The desert in bloom is beautiful!

Jessica's favorite place is always near the fire.

We also fit in a birthday party for Lanae, a second cousin. It included an Easter egg hunt and a princess bounce house plus yummy food. More fun!

Two of my pregnant cousins: Suzanne and Lynnette. My aunt Dove is in there, too. I think I have at least 6 cousins who are pregnant and 2 who very recently gave birth.

Oh, the anticipation!

My shirt was clean this morning ... really!

Chloe is in fight mode.
I feel so on the ball for blogging about something I did today! Then again, my family is getting hungry for dinner, there's unpacking to do and I really need a shower. What I choose to do with my time is always a trade-off. That's life! And this was my day.
